Capcom has just unveiled a thrilling gameplay trailer featuring Alex, giving wrestling enthusiasts a front-row seat to witness the Dark Devil's prowess. Alex, the third character in Street Fighter 6 Year 3, is coming to PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch™ 2, and he's packing a punch!

Alex first entered the fighting game arena as the protagonist of Street Fighter III: New Generation in 1997. His fearless attitude has earned him the nickname 'The Man with No Allies,' but his fighting style has evolved since then. Now, Alex boasts a new stance, an arsenal of over 10 throws, and fluid transitions between moves, making him a formidable fighter both in the ring and on the streets.
His wrestling techniques are a force to be reckoned with, including:
- Flash Axe: A lightning-fast attack with light and medium options, perfect for combo endings or transitioning into Prowler Stance.
- Flash Chop: A powerful heavy strike that sets up devastating grabs like Power Bomb or Oblique Stomp. The OD version seamlessly transitions to Prowler Stance on hit.
- Aerial Knee Smash: An anti-air masterpiece, sending opponents crashing to the ground.
- Power Bomb: Alex's signature move, available in light, medium, and heavy variations, each with unique advantages.
- Prowler Stance: Sacrificing blocking ability, Alex gains 11 follow-up options to keep opponents guessing. Punish Counters can lead to Flying Suplex, Death Valley Bomb, or Spiral DDT.
- Raging Spear: A Level 1 Super Art, an unstoppable tackle that's invincible at the start, perfect for combos.
- Sledgecross Hammer: A Level 2 Super Art, a devastating lariat that can wall splat airborne foes and has projectile invincibility.
- Omega Wing Buster: Another Level 2 Super Art, executed after a successful OD Power Drop, with motion capture by Kenny Omega himself!
- The Final Prison: Alex's Level 3 Super Art, featuring four animations! A series of incredible grappling moves choke out opponents, leading to normal or K.O. finishes.
Alex will be available on March 17 for players with the Year 3 Character Pass or Year 3 Ultimate Pass. His outfits pay homage to his Dark Devil persona and classic Street Fighter III appearance. Get hyped for his theme song, "GO! ALEX! Hope is Born!" by JAM Project, an anime song super band, featured in the gameplay trailer.
Alex joins the Year 3 lineup alongside Sagat and C. Viper, with Ingrid set to complete the roster in late Spring 2025.
